Beautiful Designer Paper!

And it’s Recycled!

The windows of Louis Vuitton and Gucci are surprisingly empty of clothing and accessories at the moment.  Well  to be correct, clothing and accessories made from fabric and leather.  To highlight the fact that both fashion houses’ packaging and shopper bags are now made from recycled paper, the windows have been merchandised with beautiful paper creations made from white recycled paper.    Louis Vuitton also kept their display in line with their latest collection and ‘The Art of Packing’.  A crisp white shirt for men and a cute oh-so-feminine version for the ladies with an eyelet peter-pan collar.  The sandals in the picture above have been made with such detail.  I love the Louis Vuitton windows always!  Whoever does their visual merchandising is a true genius!

Gucci have some very oversize paper versions of their famous bamboo handle bags featured in their windows.   I would have loved to have seen these being created and also very curious to know how many had to be produced considering as both fashion houses have replicated the windows all over the world.

It’s like having an art gallery on display for all, not closed away behind doors – Another wonderful reason for window shopping!
