Reflections on 2010…………
As I sit here sipping my cup of tea and scoffing down a generous chunk of panettone (as one does at this time of year.) I am wondering what 2011 holds in store for me.
Last year was certainly very eventful, the highlight definitely being my marriage to Emiliano Di Donato in May. After what seemed like months of constant rain, we were fortunate to have sunshine and blue skies on our wedding day which we celebrated at Villa la Vedetta which had the most beautiful terrace overlooking the whole of Florence.
I spent more time in airports than I would have liked, had flights delayed due to the volcanic ash cloud of Iceland and then the heavy snow that fell over London and Germany. I boarded more flights than ever, travelling to Australia, Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas, Amsterdam, Berlin, Denmark, London, Milan and Lampedusa.

I watched my sister’s career take off in ways none of us could have ever imagined. From winning the first ever Italian reality cooking show, ‘La Scuola, Cucina di Classe’ to launching her very own television program, ‘Le Torte di Toni‘ which shares with all of Italy her talent of cake decoration. I have a feeling that 2011 will be very interesting and incredibly exciting for Toni! I personally can’t wait for the book!
I spent the last day of 2010 walking around this beautiful city Florence that I now call home. The sun was shining, the air was crisp and I took advantage of my new Canon zoom to take some photos of this beautiful city on the last day of the year.
