On our fashion walks, we will first meet at the historical Paskowski bar for a welcome coffee before visiting our first boutiques that specialise in contemporary fashions and that have been the fashion destinations of International buyers for the last 20 years. From here we will walk to a historical and beautiful boutique in a stunning frescoed palazzo famous for their hand-embroidery items. We will then walk to Italy’s oldest ‘farmacia’ and perfume store.
Crossing the river, we will visit a fashion and homeware boutique run by a local family from Lucca before visiting one of Florence’s most iconic jewellery designers. We will visit both sides of the river where I will explain the particularities of each district and the origins of the most famous Florentine designers. We will visit a mix of artisan boutiques as well as the most contemporary and fashionable stores who sell the latest brands. We will be visiting a mix of boutiques and studios, from those that feature the latest and most contemporary local brands to historic & iconic local artisans that people seek out when looking for something original, authentic, tailor and or hand-made in Florence.
I have been working in the fashion industry for over 30 years as a designer, buyer and marketing manager. I moved permanently to Florence 12 years ago where I had the opportunity to work with one of the best fashion distributors in the country which allowed me to get to know the most iconic boutiques in the city. Two years ago I started up my own lifestyle magazine about Tuscany where local artisans and fashion icons are featured in each issue as my way of sharing my knowledge and favourite shopping locations in the city of Florence and surrounding towns of Tuscany.
