More About Me

Eccomi!!!

Eccomi! Which roughly translates as Here I Am! Just in case you thought that I had disappeared, I’m back after an embarrassing three months since my last post! I really don’t know what to say! I have had a lot of good things to share over the past three months but unfortunately not as much free time as I would have liked to create a publish worthy post!

Since I last wrote I have been to LA, New York twice, London three times, and also Palm Springs. All work trips mind you but mix that travel with a full-time job, husband, house and a toddler and it doesn’t leave much time for sleep, let alone writing a creative and entertaining post!

I also blame my new phone……… and Instagram. Our company decided to change our blackberries to iphones and so I joined the Instagram movement. I felt that every time I updated my instagram or facebook page, it was like a mini blog-post – only that instagram doesn’t link automatically to my blog which is a shame.

For those that were following my blog, you will recall how I was complaining about the constant rain. Well Summer has arrived with a bang and now we are all sweltering in 35+ degree temps.

So instead of me waffling on too much updating you on what we have been up to the last 3 months, in the spirit of instagram, I’ll share some of my favourite photos………

We went to the Pistoia Zoo (30 mins from Florence) where you can actually feed the elephants and giraffes!

(approved animal food only!!!)

Matteo learnt some yoga moves and proved to be a natural! 😉

We welcomed Spring and all of her beautiful blooms.  Did you know the Italian word for Wisteria is Glicine?

(pronounced GLI-CHI-NE)

And for those of you that suffer from allergies, best to stay away from Florence in the Spring months when the pollen falls!  It actually is quite beautiful to look at but extremely annoying for hay-fever!

I enjoyed my birthday with my sister Toni and good friend Jessica while admiring Florence from the top of the Rinascente department store  – one of the best views for free!

 And got a big hair-cut!

I was very spoilt and received these beautiful shoes for my birthday from my father and his wife.  They are So comfortable!

20130625-221433.jpg

We welcomed George Pig into the family…… Peppa has since joined him too!

20130625-221443.jpg

We admired the art installation at Palazzo Strozzi………………..

And the Rose Garden………………

And I am now enjoying a week off on the Versilia coast with my brother and his family.  It is so nice to see Matteo playing with his cousins, especially Cooper who lives in Australia.

The holiday is over this weekend unfortunately and it’s time to pack the suitcase again.  Destination Berlin!
