This Tuscan Life-Ebook

March April Magazine

While some of us are still thawing out after the ‘big-freeze’ of this past week, it’s refreshing to know that the warmer months are approaching quickly! Wish this rain would now stop!  I, for one, am more than ready to put my heavy Winter clothes away, throw on a Summer dress and enjoy aperitivos all’aperto!

I am personally really excited to share the Richard Ginori story in this issue.  An icon in not only Tuscany but around the world for their ‘Made in Italy’ excellence.  Stunning porcelain pieces that are true works of art!

We take you to Bagno Vignoni, a small jewel of a hamlet located in the breath-taking Val d’Orcia.  Here it’s about relaxing and rejuvenating in the natural hot springs that as you can see from our cover photo, you’ll first admire when you walk into the main piazza.  Only in Florence for a few days but still want a spa experience?  We introduce you to Soulspace, a surprising retreat in the centre of Florence.

These months are also the best time for eating Carciofi and Baccelli.  Chef Arturo Dori shares a recipe for fresh pasta served with a ‘baccelli cream’ and don’t forget to enjoy a classic lamb casserole for Easter Sunday which falls on the 1st April this year!

Celebrate Spring with our featured cocktail, Silver Spring by Thomas Martini.  A delightful, happy mix of peach juice, vodka, Cointreau and a few other special ingredients will have you pulling out your cocktail shakers to recreate this at home – your friends will be most impressed!

Download your copy & Enjoy!

I created This Tuscan Life blog, magazine and experiences to share everything I love about Florence & Tuscany, one of the most popular and visited regions in Italy.   Add a splash of watercolour & you've got a creative mamma of two who wants to show you the true & authentic side of Tuscany.

These delicious soft square pillows of ravioli filled with mashed potato, cheese, garlic and parsley are more commonly known in Tuscany as Tortelli Mugellani, the famous Tortello from Mugello! If you haven’t tried these yet, then add them to your list of ‘must-taste’ when you next travel to this region known as the ‘Green Valley of Tuscany’.

Barberino di Mugello is a small town found an easy thirty minute drive along the A1 from Florence or 45 minutes from Bologna. For those of you that know me well, you’ll understand one of the things that I find special about visiting Barberino…….. Did someone say Designer Outlet?
