TTL MAGAZINE – SUMMER

Our new Summer Issue is out with close to 100 pages of our favourite summer Tuscan locations, artisans, recipes and cocktails,

In this issue, we take a tour of some of the most popular coastal towns and beaches, giving you a few options of some the most beautiful public and private beach locations in Tuscany.

Our recipes this issue follow our beach theme and we pay tribute to Chef Luciano Zazzeri, Michelin Star owner of La Pineta restaurant in Marina di Bibbona who sadly passed away earlier this year.  Two years ago I was honoured to meet him, hear his story and enjoy his famous Cacciucco which I am sharing again in this issue.  Chef Arturo Dori shares his version of Spaghetti alle Vongole and I share our family recipe for Conserva di Pomodoro, our bottled tomato sauce. Also, make a refreshing peach tart and enjoy our favourite Summer cocktails by Thomas Martini.

Whether you are on the coast, in the country or reading this from your lounge room in another part of the world, I hope you enjoy This Tuscan Summer!

If you are in Florence, you can buy a copy of This Tuscan Life at The Paperback Exchange English bookshop, Via delle Oche 4r and TODO MODO in via dei Fossi 15 for €12 or download the digital version here

Ciao, I'm Lisa B,

I created This Tuscan Life blog, magazine and experiences to share everything I love about Florence & Tuscany, one of the most popular and visited regions in Italy.   Add a splash of watercolour & you've got a creative mamma of two who wants to show you the true & authentic side of Tuscany.

These delicious soft square pillows of ravioli filled with mashed potato, cheese, garlic and parsley are more commonly known in Tuscany as Tortelli Mugellani, the famous Tortello from Mugello! If you haven’t tried these yet, then add them to your list of ‘must-taste’ when you next travel to this region known as the ‘Green Valley of Tuscany’.

Barberino di Mugello is a small town found an easy thirty minute drive along the A1 from Florence or 45 minutes from Bologna. For those of you that know me well, you’ll understand one of the things that I find special about visiting Barberino…….. Did someone say Designer Outlet?
